The Kansas City Chiefs claimed rookie G Marcus Reed off of waivers from the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, according to the NFL Transactions release.
- The Chiefs also signed OL Tavon Rooks and waived WR Da’Rick Rogers and OT Kelvin Palmer.
Green Bay cut Reed loose on Monday, which probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise given their offensive line depth right now.
However, the Chiefs could use more competition as they prepare for training camp, so this is probably a decent landing spot for Reed.
Reed, 23, signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent Fayetteville State following this year’s draft.
